New Hedging Planted Around Thatcham – Thatcham Town Council

We received 670 hedging plants, which we have planted around Henley’s Allotments, Crowfield Drive, London Road Cemetery & Frank Hutchings Community Hall to increase security and biodiversity in these areas.

New hedge plants have been used to create a solid boundary around the Christmas Tree area in London Road Cemetery

Thank you to all those who gave up their time to help, including Thatcham Mayor, Mark Lillycrop who said “From an environmental point of view, we are taking every opportunity we can to plant new trees and to replace hedges that have disappeared over the years.

“And it is really nice to see people turning out to help us do this. The allotments are a really important asset to the town which we want to protect and keep them going for the future to finding other opportunities to plant more trees and hedges around the town to enhance the environment within Thatcham.”
