Fest Off kickstarts Thatcham Festival

The start of Thatcham Festival was marked by the return of Fest Off on Thatcham High Street, which according to Thatcham Town Council drew hundreds of visitors for an evening packed with live music, entertainment, and community celebration.

Crowds gathered to enjoy performances across two stages and a wide selection of local food, drink, and craft stalls.

The Main Stage featured performances from the Thatcham Musical Theatre Choir and The Casino Birds, before headliners Moonstate closed the evening with their energetic mix of 2000s pop, indie rock, and modern hits.

The Acoustic Stage, curated by local musician Sion Whiley, showcased an impressive lineup of local artists, offering audiences a more intimate setting to enjoy live music.

A new feature for this year, the Silent Disco, proved particularly popular, inviting festival-goers to dance down the High Street with wireless headphones.

Alongside the entertainment, visitors explored a range of food and drink vendors, as well as gift and produce stalls, many highlighting local businesses.

Organisers hailed the event as a resounding success, with a great attendance and positive feedback from both visitors and performers.

The Big Thatcham Fest Off is part of the wider Thatcham Festival programme, which runs for 10 days finishing on Sunday 19th October.
