Berkshire Afrofest – One week to go!

Taking place on Saturday 8th August, 1pm – 8pm at The Moors Playing Field, Thatcham, Berkshire Afrofest is a free family day packed with music, dance, delicious food, cultural performances, children’s activities and opportunities to meet local community organisations.

While entry to the event is completely free, reserving free tickets in advance is required in order to get free food during the event. www.thatchamtowncouncil.gov.uk/afrofest

Berkshire Afrofest is delivered through a partnership between Community United, Avila and Thatcham Town Council, all of whom share a commitment to building stronger, more connected communities.

The festival showcases the richness of African culture through music, dance, art and food, while creating a welcoming space where people from every background can come together, learn from one another and celebrate Berkshire’s diversity.

Community United are continuing to raise funds through The Good Exchange to help support the long-term future of Berkshire Afrofest and ensure it remains an accessible, high-quality community event for years to come.
