Thatcham Mayor set to host three fundraisers for his chosen charities, PALS West Berkshire and West Berks Foodbank

Thatcham Town Council are excited to announce three upcoming fundraising events for the Mayor’s charities over the next year! Starting off with a Silent Disco on Friday 25th September, closely followed by a Barn Dance on Friday 6th November, and finishing off strong with a Murder Mystery Night in Spring 2027.
The Silent Disco will be held at the Frank Hutchings Community Hall with headsets provided as part of the £5 entry fee. There will be two music channels to choose from to boogie the night away to, with song requests available in advance and on the night! There will also be a small tuck shop onsite selling pre-made pick a mix, crisps and fizzy drinks.
Doors open at 7.00pm and you are welcome to bring your own refreshments along. For tickets, please email enquiries@thatchamtowncouncil.gov.uk or buy tickets on the door!
Looking ahead to November, it’s time to get your dancing boots ready for the Mayor’s Barn Dance! This night promises to be a fun filled one with a fabulous list of pre-recorded music and a talented live caller.
A welcome drink is included in the £10 ticket price, and you are encouraged to bring along your own refreshments to keep you dancing all night long!
This event has sold out in the past, so it is highly recommended to pre-book a ticket. Please email enquiries@thatchamtowncouncil.gov.uk to be the first in line when ticket sales open!

Profits from all events will go to the Mayor’s chosen charities: PALS West Berkshire and West Berks Foodbank.
PALS West Berkshire have been working with children and young people with physical disabilities for over 20 years. They offer a wide variety of social and leisure activities for children and young people aged 5 to 18.
West Berks Foodbank provides emergency food support to individuals and families facing hardship across West Berkshire, as well as wraparound services to address the root causes of poverty and crisis while restoring dignity, hope, and stability for those they support.
